These scientific meetings « Volcanism, seismicity and tectonics of the Great an Lesser Antilles » are organised around the restitution of the Interreg PREST project, «Regional Telluric Monitoring Platform»,  funded by the European Interreg V Caribbean Program (see the tab about the project).

It will take place from 13 to 19 May 2022, at the Centre de Découverte de Sciences de la Terre (CDST) in Saint-Pierre (Martinique) with the following main events:

- An international scientific meeting will be structured in two parts.
Two days will be animated by recognized experts in volcanology, and then in seismology and tectonics of the region.
Two other days will discuss the results obtained by the stakeholders of the PREST project.

- Public conferences will punctuate the week to present the latest advances in the fields of volcanology, seismology and tectonics in the Antilles.

- The municipality of Saint-Pierre commemorates this year the 120th anniversary of the eruption of Mount Pelée (1902-1905), within the framework of the Mai de Saint-Pierre.

- The IPGP and the Collectivité Territoriale de Martinique (CTM) will inaugurate the arrival of the scientific team in the new building of the volcanological and seismological observatory of Martinique.

Accomodation is provided at the UCPA holiday centre in Saint-Pierre, with twinn rooms. Il is located 5 mn from the CDST.
